Identity Theft

Someone stole my identity, I must have left it out

when I tidied, I had a good clear out.

Someone stole my identity, or so I have been told.

But who would want to be me, I am weary, I am old.

Someone stole my identity, I wonder who it can be,

I hope it is someone who identifies as a her, or a she, or a me.

Someone stole my identity It’s been going on for years.

People nibbling at me, taking my blood, my sweat, my tears.

Someone stole my identity but things they could be worse.

I am not my mobile phone, my emails or my purse.

Someone stole my identity but I’m not worried about that

I still have my hair, my health, my dog and my little cat.

Someone stole my identity, but I don’t really care,

Because when I look in the mirror, I still can see me there.
